WTT ATI Radeon 4850 for Nvidia equivalent
Having a hard time finding stability with this card in linux. Apparently Nvidia has always had a great track record for excellent linux support. Anyone wanna make an offer? I think this is the 512MB version but I'll have to double check.

Yeah, if you're going to use linux you can make ATi work, but you'll lose a lot less hair with Nvidia.

that's nice of ya JR. i might take you up on that if I decide to go the linux route on my main PC. so far it does not look that way as I really can't live without Photoshop and Adobe Bridge for it's amazing RAW workflow. It's painfully slow and buggy in Wine. Pretty slow in vbox as well.

Re: WTT ATI Radeon 4850 for Nvidia equivalent
I now have a geforce 9800 and it's a blessing in linux. everything just works and works flawless without any issues. games run smooth, i have great dual desktop, h264 is smooth as butter, and not a single crash or hiccup. damn ati ... wasted hours maybe days trying to get it working properly.
